Sponsor a pane of Soane's glass and let the light in

We are delighted to offer the opportunity for supporters to sponsor a pane of glass at Pitzhanger. This is a wonderful opportunity to write your name, or the name of a loved one, into history. It also makes a unique, special gift.

Giving opportunities

Donations will relate to a specific pane of glass at Pitzhanger. Donors will be acknowledged through a dedicated donor board in the Gallery. Options for support are:

£250 - plain pane of glass

£1,000 - stained pane of glass

£4,000 - one of the four internal, stained glass windows overlooking the Manor's entrance hall

£10,000 - one of the four extraordinary Gallery rooflights. Please note there is only one rooflight left!

Supporter benefits

As a glass sponsor you will receive membership of The Glass House Club for a period of 5 years, an exclusive group of arts philanthropists who are helping to breathe life back into this extraordinary hidden architectural gem, and open it up to the public for generations to come. Club members will receive an invitation to an annual reception in Soane's magnificent conservatory. You will also receive, as a memento of the project, a frameable print of an architectural drawing of Pitzhanger, detailing the exact location of your pane of glass.

The Friends

The Friends of Pitzhanger Manor and Gallery and Walpole Park is a voluntary membership group that supports both Pitzhanger Manor and the park . It formed in 2009 in response to Ealing Council’s plans to restore Pitzhanger Manor and Walpole Park, and provide a local stakeholder voice and grass roots input into the projects. For the latest information about the group please visit or email your details to

The Friends have successfully raised £18,000 to conserve the statue of the goddess Minerva, located in the staircase hall at Pitzhanger Manor.  For many years this elegant statue, installed by Soane when he built Pitzhanger Manor in the early 1800s, has been coated in cream paint. We would like to restore her to her former glory and the bronze finish of Soane’s time, to set off the decorative paint scheme that is being recreated in the hall. The Friends have raised a further £15,000 for the restoration of fireplaces in the Manor, and are continuing to raise money for the restoration.
