This October half-term, dive into a week of creative fun for the whole family at Pitzhanger! Inspired by our vibrant Sir Howard Hodgkin exhibition, we’ve put together an exciting line-up of hands-on activities to spark imaginations of all ages. From interactive storytelling to playful printmaking, there’s something new to discover every day. Get inspired, make something amazing, and enjoy a fun-filled autumn break together!!
Join Lottie in the Eating Room at Pitzhanger for a playful, spooky storytelling session! Using curious objects from her Magic Box, Lottie leads children on an interactive Halloween-themed adventure full of role-play, songs, and imagination. Kids help shape the story as it unfolds, while grown-ups are encouraged to join in the fun too.

About the artist:
Lottie is a professional actor with a background in English, Drama, and physical theatre. After years on stage and screen, and with two daughters of her own, she created Magic Box to share the joy of storytelling and pretending. She loves tap dancing and reading, though not (yet) at the same time.

Families are invited to design their own stamp and create bold, colourful prints inspired by the imaginative worlds of Sir John Soane and Sir Howard Hodgkin. Join us in Wonder Room to explore, make, and take home your own masterpiece!
Celebrate Diwali, the Festival of Lights, with a joyful family dance workshop at Pitzhanger. Join world-renowned Kathak and Odissi artist Priya Pawar to explore expressive movements and rhythms in an accessible, workshop-style event for all ages. No previous experience needed—just bring your energy and curiosity!

Join us in Wonder Room for a fantastic family drop-in workshop where you’ll craft your very own playdough monsters to haunt the historic halls of the Manor & Gallery. No tricks—just treats, fun, and imagination!
Play and create during the October Half Term with Mini Makers! In these special school holiday sessions, we welcome children aged 1 to 7 years with a variety of child-led activities and art-making, including building and painting with cardboard and other materials, sensory play, drawing, and more!

If you do not have a ticket for the talk, we recommend planning your visit a little earlier in the day to enjoy the full exhibition.
