STEP-FREE ACCESS TEMPORARILY RESTRICTED

Please note that the lift at Pitzhanger Manor is currently out of order until further notice following a safety inspection.

The Manor and exhibitions remain open as usual, and all floors continue to be accessible via stairs. However, visitors who require step-free access will currently only be able to access the lower ground level (via the Colonnade), the Wonder Room, and the Monk’s Dining Room.

Pitzhanger Gallery remains fully accessible, with lift access functioning as usual.

We are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible and apologise for the inconvenience caused.

For access enquiries, please contact foh@pitzhanger.org.uk before your visit.

Artist Peter Blake stands in his studio beside a window, examining a print while surrounded by stacks of artworks, records and eclectic objects.

Discover a major new exhibition celebrating one of Britain’s most iconic artists.

This November, Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery will present Peter Blake: In the Studio, a major exhibition celebrating the life and work of Sir Peter Blake, one of the defining figures of British Pop Art.

Alongside paintings, sculpture, collages and works on paper, the exhibition will recreate Blake’s West London studio inside Pitzhanger, offering a rare and intimate insight into the artist’s world, working life and the remarkable collection of objects that have inspired him over many years.

With connections to Ealing’s music and film heritage, and works inspired by Hogarth shown in the Manor, it promises a richly layered portrait of a British icon.

In Pitzhanger Manor, Marthe Armitage: Pattern Maker continues to draw praise for its vivid hand-printed textiles and rarely seen works on paper.

We are also open on Monday 4 May for the Early May Bank Holiday, 10am–5pm — a great chance to visit outside our usual Wednesday–Sunday opening days.

Hello! I’m Aston, Communications Manager at Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery. I help people discover what’s happening here through newsletters, social media, press coverage and visitor information across the site. I also helped launch our free Bloomberg Connects digital guide, which offers extra interpretation, floor plans and insights to help you get even more from your visit.

I love finding the right words and ideas to share what makes each exhibition or event special, and one of the best parts of the job is seeing someone come through our doors because of something they first spotted in a post, an email, or an article.
