What precautions do we need to take to film at Pitzhanger?
We are foremost a Grade 1 listed building and therefore care and attention must be made to following our conservation guidelines. The Company will be briefed on requirements to ensure the protection of the property, its features, and contents.
What vehicle restrictions apply on site?
Vehicle access to Pitzhanger Manor is limited. Though we can accommodate a small number of vehicles on our grounds, for larger shoots, off-site parking is available in partnership with Ealing Council.
Is it possible to view the spaces for a tour or recce?
We would be happy to offer a short tour of our available shooting spaces, please feel free to get in touch and we can book you in at an available time. Tech recces are possible on Mondays and Tuesdays when we are closed to the public.
What is your damage policy?
The Company is responsible for any damage caused to the property and its contents as a result of filming or photography and as such is responsible for covering the cost of any repairs deemed necessary by Pitzhanger Manor.
What is your policy on artwork copyright?
Our artwork policy is dependent on the agreement between Pitzhanger and the Artist. We host several temporary exhibitions throughout the year, and we may ask that certain works are avoided or removed in post- production. Certain artworks may be agreed to be moved with an art handler.
Do you restrict the type of filming allowed on site?
Pitzhanger Manor is a property of cultural, architectural and historical significance to the nation. We only permit filming and photography that will not bring the manor into disrepute. We require details of all proposed activities.
What is your policy on eating and drinking in the Manor?
No food or drink, except water, may be brought into the interiors. Food or drink may only be brought into the house with the prior agreement of Pitzhanger Manor and may only be consumed in the area/s designated for this purpose. Smoking is banned from all areas of the property.
Are there any restrictions on equipment and art department?
Equipment must be carried by hand. Nothing should be stacked against furniture, paneling or walls, inside or outside the property, nor physically attached to any part of the property and its contents.
What insurance is required?
All production companies must carry insurance for the nature of work they are undertaking. This usually includes public liability insurance and indemnity insurance.
