We warmly welcome SEND groups to visit the Manor and can adapt workshops according to the needs of your students. We can deliver workshops on site, online and as outreach to your school.
Architect’s Apprentice: SEND
(Science, History, Literacy)
Meet Sir John Soane, the architect who designed and built Pitzhanger Manor and build your own dream home. Using story-telling, role play and hands-on activities children will explore materials, forces and shapes, compare old and new buildings and use their imagination to make a brand new home.
Art as Inspiration: KS3
(Art, Design, Citizenship, Local History, Literacy)
What is inspiration and how can art inspire us? Led by an artist facilitator, pupils will explore the work of famous contemporary artists to gain inspiration for their own unique art works.
Outdoor Learning Workshops:
We have a range of outdoor workshops that take place within Walpole Park and are led by an expert outdoor learning educator. Whether looking at brilliant bees or building dens as part of Forest School, these workshops excellently complement a visit to the manor.
