About Joanna Bird

Joanna Bird originally trained as a potter for three years with Michael Cardew and practiced in her own right, before setting up a contemporary ceramics gallery in 1994. Over the last twenty years she has built an international reputation in ceramics and sought out fine works which have been acquired by museums and collectors worldwide. As a leading ceramics expert, Joanna specialises also in commissions on all scales, especially installations.

Joanna represents a broad stable of ceramic and glass artists, showing their work in the company of important historic collectors’ pieces at selected London and international galleries and art fairs at her own gallery.

About Joseph Harrington

Joseph Harrington is a sculptor working in cast glass. He graduated with an MA in Ceramics and Glass from the Royal College of Art in 2006. He recently won ‘Best in Show’ at the 2017 British Glass Biennale, a gold medal at the Bavarian State Prize 2018 and has recently had he work acquired by the V&A Museum, London. Joseph has exhibited both nationally and internationally including a 2013 solo exhibition ‘Landscape Portraits’ at Bullseye gallery, Portland USA and has recently exhibited at ‘Collect’ art fair at the Saatchi Gallery, London.

About Gregory Warren Wilson

Gregory Warren Wilson, is an artist and prize-winning poet. He was selected for the British Glass Biennale in 2022, is exhibited at ‘Collect’ also in Australia and USA. Using multiple layers of hand-cut glass or tesserae, he plays with light’s spatial interaction. Sometimes inspired by poetry fragments,  his glass designs can allude to their literary origins – while others stand independently – for example ‘Venice by Night’ a series of 25 works.

As Part of

London Craft Week is a city-wide festival celebrating exceptional craftsmanship, across multiple sectors and disciplines, from around the world. Through our curated programme of events, we shine a light on the creative talent behind some of the world’s most beautiful objects, telling stories of their inspiration, process and materials.

Since its inception in 2015, the festival has grown significantly in scale and prominence with nearly quarter of a million visitors enjoying the work of more than 700 makers at events put on by over 200 partners from 40 countries in 2023.

The festival encourages those who attend to discover hidden workshops, independent makers, heritage craftsmen and jewel-like shops alongside great luxury houses, famous artists and designers, leading department stores, national museums and contemporary galleries. Visitors can embrace the sheer reach, diversity and serendipity that London offers as the world’s great creative capital.
