Children lead sensorial and creative activities in a relaxed, free-flow play space at the Rickyard for under 5s.
About this event
Bees and Flowers: During this special session children will be able to explore the life cycle
of a bee, the honeycomb and their relationship with flowers, through sensorial and engaging
activities. It is an invitation to visit the Pitzhanger Manor Shop and try some of the local
honey sold there, to appreciate the beautiful surroundings of Walpole park and nature’s
motives within the Manor( eg. The wallpaper).
Carry on the hunt outside and inside the manor house to see how many different types of
flowers you can spot around Walpole park and the Manor– can you recognise and name
them
Inspired by a combination of Montessori philosophy, the architecture and exhibitions hosted by Pitzhanger Manor and gallery. Designed to give children and parents an opportunity to explore and have fun together!
Each session will be centred on a specific theme. It is an invite for the whole family to visit the Manor, the Gallery, and the surrounding grounds.
Your ticket will include a free visit before or after the session. There will be 2 sessions each months 1 in the morning and one in the afternoon.
