This May half-term, step into a world of colour, movement, and imagination! We’ve lined up a week full of playful, hands-on experiences perfect for curious kids and creative grown-ups alike. Whether dancing to new beats, making sunny prints, or getting messy with colours, magic is waiting around every corner. Come along and make something brilliant together!

Join our team and discover how simple drawings can spring to life through the magic of motion. In this fun, hands-on drop-in workshop, you’ll make your own Thaumatrope, a spinning optical illusion that blends two images into one. Think of a fish in a bowl or a star in the sky! It’s a brilliant way to explore how the eye and brain work together, and a great activity for curious minds of all ages.

Join artist Lily Wei this May for a sun-kissed art workshop! There is no better event that heralds the beginning of warmer days than learning how to create your own cyanotype postcard or bookmark. No experience? No problem! This easy-going workshop welcomes any who are curious to the medium; whether you are a professional in photography and printmaking, or just looking to spend a fun morning capturing some sun magic.
Recommended for ages 13 and up. Participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

About Artist:
Lily Wei is a Chinese-New Zealander artist currently living and working in London. Lily’s current paintings celebrate her emotions of being part of the Asian diaspora and explore displacement, museum repatriation, movement and the concept of Hiraeth. She completed her baccalaureate at Chelsea College of Art, London, where she painted her way through a fine art degree. Lily is currently studying her Master’s degree at the Royal College of Art.
Join us for an inspiring, hands-on drop-in session led by teacher, artist, and former architect Thea Dzozlic. This creative workshop is designed to spark imagination and build real-world design skills as children step into the shoes of an architect. Participants will Sketch floor plans, Create bold architectural collages and explore the decisions behind building design. Perfect for curious minds and creative hands!

Join us for a fun-filled, hands-on experience designed for children aged 1 to 5 years! Led by artist Lewis McVey, Mini Makers: Messy Play invites little ones to explore, play, and create through various child-led activities, including building and painting with cardboard, sensory play, drawing, and much more.
