MAIN GALLERY CLOSURE & JULY FILMING UPDATE

The main gallery is currently closed for exhibition changeover. Pitzhanger Manor and Marthe Armitage: Pattern Maker remain open, with discounted admission available.

On 8–19 July, further closures will be in place due to filming activity. During this period, the main gallery, café, shop, Monk’s Dining Room and Wonder Room will be closed. Discounted admission will remain available for access to the open areas of Pitzhanger Manor, including Marthe Armitage: Pattern Maker.

Visitors requiring step-free access to the Manor on 8–19 July will need to enter and exit via the Eating Room door from the Front Garden. The accessible toilet in the main gallery will not be available; the nearest accessible toilet is at the Rickyard in Walpole Park, near the playground.

Summer Holiday Club: Architecture & Design

Overview

Children aged 7-11 can sign up for our 5-day Creative Summer Holiday Club from 14 to 18 August, a day camp from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm featuring a different art activity each day.

Activities

Join artist, designer, and teacher Antoine Genevier in Improbable Solutions to Improbable Problems, an architecture- and design-focused workshop where you will solve problems that you didn’t even think of through architectural means. The idea is to be messy, wacky and irregular as we explore our design practise. Silly ideas only!

About the Artist

Antoine is a London-based Artist/Designer currently studying Design at Goldsmiths. He taught Primary Education in Berlin and Paris for 10 years in a variety of different schools, learning from each curriculum. He uses this experience in his Mini Makers workshops at Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery.

Please Note

  • Please ensure your child brings a packed lunch (please follow the same guidelines as for a packed school lunch, i.e. no nuts).
  • Please ensure your child is dressed appropriately and prepared for the weather on the day (hat, sun cream, rain gear, etc.), as some activities may take place outdoors.
  • Please ensure your child is wearing clothing that is suitable to get messy, as they will be using paints and other mark-making materials!

Partial Closures & Discounted Admission: 8–19 July

Parts of Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery will be temporarily closed from 8–19 July due to filming activity. The main gallery, café, shop, Monk’s Dining Room and Wonder Room will be closed during this period.

Discounted admission is available for access to the remaining areas of the Manor, including Marthe Armitage: Pattern Maker. A temporary pop-up shop will be available inside the Manor.

Visitors requiring step-free access to the Manor will need to enter and exit via the Eating Room door from the Front Garden, as the usual accessible route through the main gallery and Colonnade will not be available.

The accessible toilet in the main gallery will also be unavailable during this period. The nearest accessible toilet is at the Rickyard in Walpole Park, near the playground.

Thursday Late: Garden Party, 6 August

Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery is open as usual on Thursday 6 August, 10am–8pm. For visits before 3pm, please continue to book general admission as normal.

Our special Thursday Late: Garden Party takes place from 3pm–8pm and has a separate booking page.

For the Garden Party, all tickets are Pay What You Can. Choose to pay £7, £5, £3, £1, or visit free of charge.
