Alongside our current exhibition programme enjoy a panel discussion on sustainability in architecture and design with Blast Studio, Arup and FCBStudio
Blast Studio, who are exhibiting in the exhibition, will discuss their work that turns discarded coffee cups into design objects for the home.
Kathryn Firth of the renowned engineering firm Arup, who will discuss The Phoenix in Lewes, the redevelopment of a 7.9 hectare brownfield site. Planned to prioritise people over cars, constructed primarily in sustainable timber, powered by renewable energy and designed to encourage a culture of sharing, it represents a new and regenerative way to make a place, build a community and create a productive and circular local economy.
Andy Theobald, Partner at Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios is leading the design work for Eden Project Dundee. and will discuss this landmark development which is transforming the former gasworks on East Dock Street into a beacon for regeneration and green tourism.

This talk coincides with our free visiting hours for Ealing residents, allowing you to enjoy the talk and explore the manor and our exhibitions without a general admission fee. Book in advance is recommended. Proof of eligibility will be checked at the front desk.
Our café partner, Bella Puglia, will serve a range of delicious alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks all evening, and exhibitions across the manor will be open until 8pm.
About Blast Studio
Paola, Martin & Pierre started Blast Studio in 2018 with the aim to explore how nature and technology can be put in dialogue in order to transform cities’ discarded material into artefact and architecture.
In 2020, Blast Studio won the Prix d’Encouragement in Architecture from the French Académie des Beaux Arts. In 2022, the studio was awarded the New Talent Award at Surface Design Show and was the finalist for the Loewe Craft Prize 2022. In 2023, Blast Studio was selected as one of House & Garden’s Rising Stars of Design.
About Kathryn Firth
Kathryn Firth is a Director in Cities Planning and Design at Arup. She is an architect and urban designer whose passion for creating thriving places spans some 30 years. She leads master planning and urban design projects across the UK, US, Europe, and the Middle East, ranging from public realm improvements to large-scale regeneration projects.
Prior to joining Arup, Kathryn was Urban Design Director at several practices in the UK and the US. She was the Chief of Design at the London Legacy Development Corporation, where she directed teams of architects, landscape architects, planners, and engineers to realize the Olympic Legacy. Kathryn served on the BusinessLDN Place Commission, sits on and chairs several Design Review Panels, and is a Mayor’s Design Advocate alum.
Kathryn is the co-chair for the UK Infrastructure & Urban Development Council for the Urban Land Institute. She holds a Master’s in Architecture and Urban Design from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design, where she has been teaching over the past five years. She currently teaches at the Bartlett, UCL. Kathryn is committed to the exchange between practice and academia and, as Global Skills Network Leader at Arup, she leads research focusing on the spatial implications of socio-economic and environmental resiliency.
About Andy Theobald
Andy Theobald is an architect, a partner and group leader at FCBStudios. He has been with the practice since 1988 and oversees the output of one of six groups within the practice. Andy has been responsible for a number of award-winning projects including The University of Warwick’s Faculty of Arts Building, Manchester School of Art and St Peter’s Catholic Primary School.

Coinciding with our free visiting hours for Ealing residents, Thursday Lates is your chance to explore the manor and its exhibitions without the usual general admission fee.
The Gardening Drawing Club – The Basics of Planting
This workshop will help nurture your gardening skills and confidence, giving you the basic know-how to start your own horticultural experiments at home.
The tour is included with general admission as part of our Thursday Late opening. Simply book your general admission ticket for the evening to attend.

Pitzhanger Plant Sale: 7 June
Join us for the Pitzhanger Plant Sale 2026 in the Front Garden on Sunday 7 June, 10am–2pm. No ticket is required to visit the Plant Sale.
Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery will remain open as usual with general admission. If you would also like to visit the historic manor and our exhibitions, please continue to book your tickets as normal.
Pay-what-you-can admission for Ealing Borough residents is also available as usual from 10am–noon. Proof of eligibility required.

Partial Closures & Discounted Admission: 8–19 July
Parts of Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery will be temporarily closed from 8–19 July due to filming activity. The main gallery, café, shop, Monk’s Dining Room and Wonder Room will be closed during this period.
Discounted admission is available for access to the remaining areas of the Manor, including Marthe Armitage: Pattern Maker. A temporary pop-up shop will be available inside the Manor.
Please note that the Eating Room in Pitzhanger Manor will be closed at 10am–5pm on 1 August for a private function. Artworks in the affected space will be temporarily off view, but General Admission continues as usual. All rooms will be open before and after this time during our regular opening hours.
