From 6pm, Permindar Kaur will be in conversation with Roger Malbert, curator, writer, and former Head of Hayward Touring at the Southbank Centre (2000–2018), discussing her exhibition Mirror, Mirror and wider themes in her practice. Malbert has been a judge for the Jerwood Drawing Prize and has contributed to The Independent, Art Monthly, TLS and The Art Newspaper
At 7.15pm, in the Upper Drawing Room of the Manor, there will be a poetry performance with Prem Sahib and writer and performer Bhanu Kapil alongside a new sound installation by Prem Sahib. Bhanu Kapil is a British-born poet and author of The Vertical Interrogation of Strangers, Incubation: A Space for Monsters, and Ban en Banlieue, and in 2020 won a Windham-Campbell Literature Prize
To mark the 300th anniversary of Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, PlayGC Theatre Company presents The Four Seasons Reimagined, a new interpretation of this iconic score for piano, accompanied by a selection of poetry and prose reflecting the essence of each season.
