Thank you to everyone who joined us for an unforgettable day of history and discovery at the BBC Antiques Roadshow at Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery on 19 May 2024. Set against the stunning backdrop of Sir John Soane’s architectural gem in Ealing, West London, we were delighted to host over 3,000 guests for this special event.
While the live filming has concluded, the excitement continues as we anticipate the premiere of the episodes featuring Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery this autumn 2024. Don’t miss the chance to see if your neighbours’ quirky items or those unexpected treasures made it to the screen!
The episodes will showcase Pitzhanger, beautifully presented by Fiona Bruce, surrounded by the history and design legacy of Sir John Soane. Witness how our local community shared unique antiques and captivating stories with a nationwide audience.

Experience Grayson Perry’s vibrant storytelling in The Vanity of Small Differences, now open at Pitzhanger Gallery. This exhibition showcases Perry’s six large-scale tapestries exploring British class and taste, inspired by William Hogarth’s A Rake’s Progress.
You can also view the original 18th-century engravings by William Hogarth, including the complete series of A Rake’s Progress and the iconic pair Gin Lane and Beer Street. It is almost as if these pieces could feature on an episode of the BBC Antiques Roadshow themselves!

For the first time, this exhibition brings the Turner-Prize-winning artist’s tapestries to a building where William Hogarth’s ‘A Rake’s Progress’, the inspiration behind Perry’s tapestries, were purchased for and displayed.
