Overview
Join Jo Broadhurst, daughter of Marthe Armitage, as she leads a demonstration of how wallpaper prints are made using large scale linocuts. Jo will give an introduction to Marthe’s practice and describe the process, undertaking examples using linocut blocks from the studio.
Jo Broadhurst is an artist and trained architect. Having started to help her mother operate the lithographic press several years ago, she is now responsible for all the company’s hand-printed output.
There will be 2 demonstrations and participants can book either one, the first at 4.30pm and the second at 6.30pm. Both demonstrations will run for an hour.
This event is part of the public programme for Marthe Armitage: Pattern Maker.
