STEP-FREE ACCESS TEMPORARILY RESTRICTED

Please note that the lift at Pitzhanger Manor is currently out of order until further notice following a safety inspection.

The Manor and exhibitions remain open as usual, and all floors continue to be accessible via stairs. However, visitors who require step-free access will currently only be able to access the lower ground level (via the Colonnade), the Wonder Room, and the Monk’s Dining Room.

Pitzhanger Gallery remains fully accessible, with lift access functioning as usual.

We are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible and apologise for the inconvenience caused.

For access enquiries, please contact foh@pitzhanger.org.uk before your visit.

Vision Board

A vision board is a visual representation of the future goals you want to achieve and is related to your life direction. In this task we look at how we can replenish ourselves for the year ahead.

Landscape

In this task, we will be looking at perspective, colour, and using mixed materials to create a piece to be displayed, sent as a greetings card or postcard or even made into a seasonal tree ornament.

Self Portrait

For this task we will be reflecting on changing self image, reflecting both the internal dialogue and who we present to the world.

Empowerment

After this recent period of turbulence and uncertainty, this month we will be looking at the positives; playing with shape, colour and space to create a positive affirmation to be displayed somewhere prominent.

Protest

Looking to Pitzhanger’s upcoming exhibition Hogarth: London Voices, London Lives, we will be reflecting voices and issues in society today. Inspired by the momentum of the Black Lives Matter movement globally, we are inviting you to join us in creating, and displaying, protest art.

Repeating Pattern

Inspired by the heritage interiors and the many recurring shapes within Pitzhanger Manor, we will design a repeating pattern. This will give us an understanding of how they are created to use in designing wallpapers, clothes and carpets.

Connectedness

At a time when we are distanced physically from those we love, if you were to create an ode to someone special, important or inspirational, how would it look, and what would it say?

More info

Snapshot

Use collage to create a series of ‘Polaroids’ about the story of your thoughts. If you were to take a snapshot of your thoughts today, what would it look like?
