Our theme for July is protest.
As a group run and led by volunteers from within the local community, it is important to us that we tackle issues that affect those around us. Looking to Pitzhanger’s upcoming exhibition Hogarth: London Voices, London Lives, we will be reflecting voices and issues in society today. Inspired by the momentum of the Black Lives Matter movement globally, we are inviting you to join us in creating, and displaying, protest art.
“Art does not dictate, it invites participation, so the art object exists as a communal act of participation“
Anish Kapoor
As a collective, we plan on displaying all protest art created by our community alongside our upcoming exhibition. We want you to get involved, share your work, and play your part in demanding a more equal society.
All levels welcome. Download instructions below.
