Kathryn Hughes: ‘Catland: Louis Wain and the Great Cat Mania’

Overview

Some called it a craze, to others it was a cult. In her new book ‘Catland: Louis Wain and the Great Cat Mania’, Award-winning historian Kathryn Hughes talks about how Edwardian Britain fell in love with cats and the role illustrator Louis Wain played in changing them from reviled pest controllers to adored family members.

Chaired by ex-broadcast journalist Jim Cockin who is soon to publish his own first novel, this promises to be a fascinating discussion on a curious and eclectic subject.
