Partial Closure & Reduced Ticket Price in May

From Sunday 4 May to Sunday 18 May 2025, access to parts of the Alison Watt: From Light exhibition will be limited. The manor will remain open, but the gallery will be closed. During this time, special admission prices apply: £8 Standard / £4 Students. Visitors can explore the manor, see J’Accuse…! Sculptures by Nicole Farhi, and enjoy Alison Watt’s work in Soane’s historic home.

Please note that during this period there will be no accessible toilet available at Pitzhanger. The nearest accessible toilet is located at Ealing Broadway Shopping Centre, just a 5-minute walk away. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Keep your ticket — it can be stamped at the front desk to allow you to return and enjoy the full Alison Watt: From Light exhibition from Wednesday 21 May 2025 at no extra cost. Learn more

Discover a variety of engaging workshops and talks designed for families of all ages, including activities tailored for under-5s and children aged 4–11. While some events require pre-booking to secure your spot, many are drop-in and ticket-free, making it easy to join the fun!

What You Can Expect

  • Inspiring history and exhibitions 
    Enjoy engaging with our exhibitions across the manor and gallery. Check out what we currently have on here. Learn more about Sir John Soane, Pitzhanger’s architect on the Pitzhanger Guided Tour at noon! 
  • Trails and activities for kids
    We offer a variety of fun and educational resources for children to enjoy while exploring the Manor and Gallery. Discover interactive activities, trails, and books in the Education Room to learn more about Sir John Soane, the architect of Pitzhanger. Alternatively, get hands-on and creative with a variety of materials and activities available in the room for exploration
  • Coffee, cakes, picnics, and family day-out
    After all the fun, visit our on-site café, Bella Puglia, for a selection of drinks including coffee, tea and babycinos or even a cake with your friends and family! Afterwards check out Walpole Park and the Pitzhanger Pantry, just a stone’s throw from Pitzhanger and let the fun continue!

Pay What You Can for Ealing Borough Residents

Entry to Open Sundays is included with general admission. Coinciding with our Pay What You Can hours for Ealing residents, families from the London Borough of Ealing can enjoy these activities by contributing an amount of their choice upon presenting proof of address. Children outside the borough are also welcome to join for free when accompanied by a paying adult. Join us to explore the manor and its exhibitions while engaging in creative family fun. Advance booking recommended.

Pre-booking is required and subject to availability. Proof of eligibility is needed (e.g., a valid driving licence, recent bank statement, or utility bill). This will be checked at the front desk.
