STEP-FREE ACCESS TEMPORARILY RESTRICTED

Please note that the lift at Pitzhanger Manor is currently out of order until further notice following a safety inspection.

The Manor and exhibitions remain open as usual, and all floors continue to be accessible via stairs. However, visitors who require step-free access will currently only be able to access the lower ground level (via the Colonnade), the Wonder Room, and the Monk’s Dining Room.

Pitzhanger Gallery remains fully accessible, with lift access functioning as usual.

We are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible and apologise for the inconvenience caused.

For access enquiries, please contact foh@pitzhanger.org.uk before your visit.

We are thrilled to announce that Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery has been shortlisted for not one, but two Young Ealing Foundation Awards: Partnership and Big Impact in the Youth Providers Categories!

These nominations recognise the positive role Pitzhanger has played in shaping the lives of young people in Ealing. At the heart of both nominations is our powerful Matt Small: Pride of England exhibition.

Partnerships

The Partnership Award celebrates initiatives that have created real change for young people through collaboration, and this exhibition was a team effort.

We were proud to work alongside artist Matt Small, the Football Association, University of West London, Brentford FC Community Sports Trust, the local Ealing community (who generously supported the Crowdfunder), and the Moniker Art Foundation as a funder.

Together, we united around a shared vision: to celebrate diversity, unity, and community through the lens of England’s national football teams, it was this spirit of partnership brought the exhibition to life.

Big Impact

The Big Impact Award recognises projects that have made a lasting difference, and we have seen first-hand the incredible effect the exhibition has had.

Through a series of community workshops led by Matt Small at Pitzhanger Manor, young people helped co-create the striking Three Lions sculptures using discarded footballs. A total of 113 young Ealing residents contributed their creativity to bring these sculptures to life, transforming waste into powerful symbols of pride and identity.

In just 12 days, we welcomed over 20 school groups and engaged 568 students, a true testament to the reach of the exhibition.

We are honoured to be recognised by the Young Ealing Foundation and incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make Pride of England such a success. No matter the outcome, we’re proud of what this project has achieved for young people in Ealing.

The awards will culminate in a ceremony on the evening of Thursday 25 September at ECC, Northfields Avenue. You can book your tickets on Young Ealing Foundation Website.
