On 7, 14 and 21 June, some rooms in the manor will be briefly closed for private events.
Artworks from our current exhibitions in these spaces will be temporarily off view, but general admission remains as usual.
Pitzhanger will also be closed on Wedsnesday 18 and again on Wedsnesday 25 June for exhibition changeover.
Enjoy £8 admission from 19–22 June while we prepare our exciting new exhibitions.

Weave and Sculpt with Emily

In this workshop, artist Emily will guide you through the ancient weaving technique of the ‘foragers basket’. Drawing inspiration from our current exhibition, Anthony Caro: The Inspiration of Architecture, you’ll also delve into the sculptural essence of this method. Get Botanically Creative

Let’s make botanical tiles together! Artist Ola Hincapié will take you through traditional tile-making methods, creating intricate impressions from stems, leaves, branches, flowers, and plants from Walpole Park. You’ll leave with your own beautiful tile and memories of a fun-filled evening.

A Unique Exploration

A Journey of Madras Fabric

To celebrate the 75th anniversary of HMT Empire Windrush’s arrival in Britain, we are hosting a free workshop with artist Candice Rodney-Sobers. You’ll make a fabric sample from discarded strips and learn about Caribbean Madras fabric’s journey from Chennai, India, to the Caribbean. All materials are provided.

A Glimpse into the Past

On Thursday 29 June, we invite you for a special screening of The South Bank Show: Anthony Caro, 39 years after its first airing. Filmed in the year of Caro’s 60th birthday exhibition, this documentary gives a glimpse into the workings of Caro’s studios and his thoughts on abstract art.
